At some point, most people who rent residences have to find a way to get out of a lease. Perhaps you have a new job opportunity in another location. Or perhaps your landlord is a nightmare and your residence isn’t what it initially appeared to be. In many cases, you will need to pay a penalty to get out of a lease, but in others you might be able to avoid this penalty. Some ways of getting out of a lease are legal, and some are not. Familiarize yourself with all of your options before taking any action, and never break the law.
