Experian is one of three major nationwide credit reporting agencies that collects information to issue credit scores and provide credit reports on consumers. Inaccurate information on your credit report – especially if it's negative – can impact your credit score and affect your ability to obtain home or auto financing or other consumer credit. For this reason, you should review the information in your credit report at least once a year and make sure it's correct. If you find an error in your Experian credit report, Experian is required by federal law to correct it.
